Anti-Mage is a fast melee Agility Hero whose true strength comes in his ability to annihilate enemy casters. He is granted with naturally high movement speed and low base attack time, both of which boost his physical damage output considerably. His signature ability is Mana Break, which makes him a huge threat to mana-reliant heroes, mainly Intelligence-based casters. Not only does it deal additional damage and burn mana with each attack, but it also leaves casters defenseless and vulnerable to his ultimate, Mana Void. Blink is a highly versatile ability that allows Anti-Mage to instantly teleport short distances, thereby allowing him to escape, chase, and even farm with ease. Spell Shield greatly increases Anti-Mage's magic resistance, allowing him to shrug off the assaults of enemy nukers without breaking a sweat, making him even more potent against casters. Finally, Mana Void finishes off targets after their mana has been burnt, inflicting heavy damage to both the target and enemies surrounding the target. The damage Mana Void can potentially deal scales extremely well into the late game, as enemies' mana pools only grow larger over time. If Anti-Mage cannot be contained early on, his power will grow the point that he is able to exterminate the most potent of casters, all in his devout quest to end those who would fight with magic.

Bio
Anti-Mage | "I bring an end to magic." | Role: | Carry / Escape | Lore: | The monks of Turstarkuri watched the rugged valleys below their mountain monastery as wave after wave of invaders swept through the lower kingdoms. Ascetic and pragmatic, in their remote monastic eyrie they remained aloof from mundane strife, wrapped in meditation that knew no gods or elements of magic. Then came the Legion of the Dead God, crusaders with a sinister mandate to replace all local worship with their Unliving Lord's poisonous nihilosophy. From a landscape that had known nothing but blood and battle for a thousand years, they tore the souls and bones of countless fallen legions and pitched them against Turstarkuri. The monastery stood scarcely a fortnight against the assault, and the few monks who bothered to surface from their meditations believed the invaders were but demonic visions sent to distract them from meditation. They died where they sat on their silken cushions. Only one youth survived--a pilgrim who had come as an acolyte, seeking wisdom, but had yet to be admitted to the monastery. He watched in horror as the monks to whom he had served tea and nettles were first slaughtered, then raised to join the ranks of the Dead God's priesthood. With nothing but a few of Turstarkuri's prized dogmatic scrolls, he crept away to the comparative safety of other lands, swearing to obliterate not only the Dead God's magic users--but to put an end to magic altogether. |

Explanation:
- Ring of Health provides HP regeneration early game, and builds easily into a later Battle Fury .
- Power Treads give a solid attack speed boost as well as early game durability, along with all the benefits of tread switching.
- Battle Fury allows Anti-Mage to farm incredibly quickly with blink, easily clearing the jungle every minute respawn. The cleave also lets you delay and split push effectively.
- Manta Style gives movement speed for chasing, a strong DPS increase, and the active split, which not only greatly increases your mana burn rate as the illusions carry mana break, but provides a reliable means of removing silence or other debuffs.
- Heart of Tarrasque helps alleviate Anti-Mage's low base strength gain (1.2), as spell shield and Anti-Mage's high agility gain give him good resistance against magical and physical damage despite his low base HP pool.
- Skull Basher and its upgrade, Abyssal Blade give more lock down and cut an enemy carry's DPS.
- Vladmir's Offering is the only way to get lifesteal given Anti-Mage's Mana Break orb, which lets him farm Ancients at a relatively low level in addition to a useful aura for staying in lane and giving lifesteal and a damage bonus to teammates.
- Butterfly offers both offensive and defensive capabilities with the large damage, attack speed, agility, and evasion bonuses.
- Battlefury is one of the most important and necessary equipment for Anti-mage, as the splash significantly speeds up Anti-Mage's ability to farm. Combined with his Blink, Anti-Mage can clear and travel between jungle camps very quickly.
- Quelling Blade is extremely common, and important for Anti-Mage if you are going to flash farm and split push. Together with Battlefury and Blink, it makes Anti-Mage one of the fastest farmer in the entire game. Some players in competitive games typically like to get it after getting Battlefury, but since it's an item they're going to get later on either way and it makes farming much easier despite the low cost, it could be a viable pickup at low levels.
